ST. ALBANS, Queens (WABC) -- A large prayer vigil was held on Monday for a 15-year-old boy who was killed in a park in Queens.
15-year-old Jaden Pierre was killed last Thursday after he was shot in Roy Wilkins Park in Saint Albans.
"He was everything to me. I love you Jaden. You are my heart and blood. My soul. Head to my toes. My life," Jaden's father said.
Police are still looking for the shooter and investigating a motive.
Last week, hundreds of teens gathered at the park for what they thought was a massive water balloon fight, instead it turned into a violent attack followed by a single shot fired into Pierre's chest.
Police have released images of the suspected gunman.
"The police know who shot Jaden. They know where he is. I would urge this gentleman to turn yourself in," Letitia James said.
Balloons were released for the young man who never got to finish 9th grade.
Investigators believe the shooting may be gang-related.
